Meanwhile, Uganda’s population is growing rapidly and is expected to double in the next 25 years, placing even more strain on already limited resources.

MEET JOY
Joy Acom, a first grader at AsOne Nursery & Primary School in Serere, once faced major barriers to education—schools were either too expensive or too far away. But when AsOne opened in Serere, she finally had the opportunity to learn. Now, she speaks fluent English, loves school, and dreams of becoming a surgeon.
Her mother, Ikima, shares, “Since Joy started at AsOne, I’ve seen such a big change—she’s confident, learning well, and has a bright future ahead.”
For Joy and hundreds of children like her, AsOne is more than a school—it’s a chance to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future for their families and communities.
