Derick’s Story
A Dream to Play Football
Jonathan’s Story
Before coming to AsOne, Jonathan was shy. But the opportunity to learn and lead is helping him find his voice.
Today, Jonathan is in Primary Six and serves as a Health Minister at his school, where he helps promote sanitation and hygiene among his fellow students.
“Before I came to AsOne, I was shy. But now I am a Health Minister and I can speak to a congregation of people.”
And Jonathan is discovering new interests along the way.
Two of his favorite things at school are learning computer skills and playing football. Access to computer lessons means he can build skills his family previously struggled to teach him at home, while regular football training has fueled a big dream for his future: becoming a professional footballer.
“My favorite thing that I love at school is playing football and learning computer.”
Jonathan’s potential was always there. Opportunity is giving him a place to discover it—a quality education, the confidence to lead, and the chance to dream bigger about his future.
