January - The Finish Campaign Begins

Our $303,500 campaign to FINISH construction at AsOne and Crater High Schools began. Thanks to you, we were fully funded by October and the schools are on track to be completed in just a few weeks.

February - Opening Day at the AsOne High School

We opened the brand new AsOne Day and Boarding High School in Namayemba village with 115 students and 15 staff at the school.

March - Farmer Training Cohorts

Thanks to our partnership with Seeds of Change & FIPS, we trained over 1,000 farmers in Namayemba Village on improved agricultural techniques and practices.

April - Push the Week & Uganda Relief Fund

During COVID-19 lockdowns you rose to the occasion and thanks to you, we were able to keep all of our 56 staff in Uganda on payroll and feed over 1,000 families in Namayemba and Rwanyabihuka through food and seed distribution packages.

May - I’m Protecting Uganda

You generously gave $7,000 to protect lives in Uganda through WASH education and training programs and the purchase of necessary PPE for the local community.

June - School at Home

During the month of June, our school teachers distributed at-home learning packets to all AsOne students in Uganda. We were the only institution in our two districts to provide at-home materials for our learners during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

July - The AsOne Bakery’s Best Month

The AsOne Bakery reopened after COVID lockdowns and had their best month of sales EVER, increasing their profitability by 300%. In 2020, our Bakery has been able to sell nearly 30,000 units of bread each month post-lockdown.

August - Finish Campaign Update

Despite COVID-19 and the lockdowns, AsOne High School and Crater High School were able to make tremendous progress on their campuses. At Crater High School, additional land was acquired for teacher housing, a second dormitory was built, and electricity was brought to the school. At the AsOne High School, teacher housing was built, new classrooms were added, and facilities were filled with high quality equipment.

September - Our Most Successful Fall Gala Yet!

Thanks to you, our amazing AsOne community in South Dakota, and the incredible help of Pinnacle Production and Sieff Style we hosted our 5th annual event at The Atrium by Blue Haven’s outdoor amphitheater with social distanced protocals. At our Fall Gala we raised over $80,000 to help support the FINISH Campaign and build on our mission to end relational, spiritual, and economic poverty one community at a time.

October - Crater High School Welcomed Back Students

Crater High School was able to welcome back Senior 4 students to continue their education and sit for their national exams to complete their education.

November - The AsOne Salon Location Opens

Thanks to our friends at Hollywood Styles and many others, the AsOne Salon purchased a new building, fully renovated it, and recently reopened operations in Namayemba.

December - We are expanding!

We are getting ready to expand into two new communities in eastern Uganda. Idudi and Kaberamaido will become the new homes of AsOne’s locally led holistic and sustainable model in Uganda. You can help join us by supporting our 2020 Year-End Campaign.
