In Pallisa, Uganda, nearly 60% of students drop out before completing school—often because of poverty, long travel distances, or family responsibilities. At the same time, access to healthcare remains out of reach for many, with families walking for hours to find even basic medical services. The challenges are real and persistent.

But you are rewriting that story.

Because of your generosity, lasting change is coming to Pallisa. Construction on a new, high-quality school and health center is now over halfway complete—and we’re thrilled to share that we’ll be opening our doors in January 2026!

Francis Waiswa, our Community Director in Pallisa, put it simply:“We came here to increase access to affordable, high-quality education and healthcare.” Thanks to you, that vision is coming to life.

This isn’t just about buildings—it’s about real lives being changed. Take Shamim, whose community recently welcomed an AsOne Health Center. “With AsOne Health Center so close to my community, life has become much easier,” she shares. “Since receiving a proper diagnosis and appropriate medication, I don’t fall sick as often.”
