Ugandans Empowering Ugandans
When Jennifer lost her mother, her world changed overnight.
She was forced to leave the life she knew and move in with her aunt. Everything was unfamiliar—including her new school, AsOne Nursery and Primary in Idudi. The transition was tough. She struggled with her studies, felt isolated, and nearly failed her first term.
But at AsOne, students aren’t left to face challenges alone.
We believe in the power of local ownership - teachers and staff who truly understand the challenges their students face—are at the heart of everything we do. Jennifer’s teachers gave steady support and encouragement and daily devotions helped her find the strength to keep going.
Gradually, Jennifer’s confidence grew. She was empowered to work hard, stayed determined, and by the end of the year, her grades had improved. Today, in Primary 7, she is thriving—academically, spiritually, and socially.
When asked what AsOne means to her, she doesn't hesitate:
“AsOne is my family.”
That simple truth is what sets AsOne apart.
We don’t chase quick fixes or outside solutions. We believe in something deeper: Ugandans empowering Ugandans. Our schools are run by local leaders who walk alongside students every day, investing in their futures with love, consistency, and faith. That’s how real, lasting change begins.
And it’s your investment that helps make it possible.
Thank you for being part of Jennifer’s story—and so many others like hers.
