In Serere, a rural community in eastern Uganda, access to education was once out of reach for many families. Schools were too far, and tuition costs too high—especially for young children like Joy. But that changed when AsOne built a school in the community. With a local, affordable school in her own neighborhood, Joy finally had the chance to learn in a quality, Christ-centered environment close to home.

Since enrolling, Joy’s transformation has been remarkable. Her mother speaks with pride about the newfound confidence and curiosity she sees in her daughter. Joy now speaks fluent English, participates eagerly in class, and dreams of becoming a surgeon—goals that once seemed impossible.
